Special Rides for 2016 for members of the MVBC:

Before June 11: Black Fly Challenge - Gravel Race or Ride at Chris Welch’s house, in Holland Patent, who is our C1 Truck Driver Training sponsor.   Course will be marked out over a gravel surface and timed for awards.  Those that just want to try a different kind of ride will be able to go out and do so.

June 27 - July 1:  Multi-day ride in the Lake Champlain area with possibly going into Canada.  Riding ~50 miles/day at a relaxed pace of 14 - 15 mph.  Staying in hotels / motels and will get breakfast and dinner someplace.  Sightseeing at Ausable Chasm and other places.  No support vehicle provided, so you will need to be able to carry what you need on your bike.  If interested, you need to contact a.s.a.p., as planning and hotel reservations need to be made.   Contact us

July 17: Century ride, this will be an unsupported ride.  Riders will need to be able to ride for 2 hours or more at a time and maintain a pace of 16 - 18 mph.  The club along the way will purchase snacks.

Half Century will be planned for at some time this summer.  The group will travel at 13 - 16 mph.  More information to follow.

Aug. 20 or 21: Marc Kingsley who is our sponsor from The Inn of Cooperstown is hosting a ride in Cooperstown.  More information to come, but it always ends up at Ommegang Brewery with food and Beer!  What more could you want.

Sept. 17: Trenton Falls ride will be lead by Bill Lash and hosted by Sun Anacker, who is a sponsor and owns and operates Susan M. Anacker Professional Land Surveyor, PLLC.  We will meet at her place in Marcy and ride to Trenton Falls then return to her place for a potluck picnic.

Sept. 17 ?: Set-up in the morning for the Kirkland Bicycle Cross Race in Kirkland Town Park on Post St. in Clinton, NY.

Sept. 18 ?: Kirkland Cycle Cross Race.

Oct. 2: Delta Lake Ride and Champagne Brunch.  Cost will be posted later. But all reservations and money need to be mailed to Kathy White by Sept. 24th.

Oct. 8: Cemetary Ride from Chris Welch’s house in Holland Patent, our sponsor from C 1 Truck Driver Training.  More information to come.

Additional rides to be posted sometime this season will be another ride or 2 by our sponsor Susan Anacker.  Carl Carmoney is planning a ride from his house in NH up RT. 12 to Waterville, with a potluck meal afterwards.  Steve Sonne of Sonne’s Cycles, Fitness & Skis, another sponsor will be hosting a ride from his place sometime this summer also.  Emails will be sent on on these and other events.
