How long have you been cycling? Forty years on and off, but steady for twenty-one.
What’s your favorite thing about riding? Fresh air and time to think. It’s freeing.
What is your greatest cycling accomplishment? Participating in The Ride for Missing Children to Washington, DC, in 2005 and 2015. Those events changed my life. Each trip was five hundred miles, and I am proud of the accomplishment.
Why did you join MVBC, and what have you enjoyed most? To ride with others. It’s more fun than riding alone. I have made great friends.
What’s your favorite road to ride on? Really anywhere, but I love to ride with my husband, Jim.
Where do you most enjoy riding? To Sylvan Beach from Vernon, and riding around Hinckley Lake.
What’s your funniest moment on the bike? I have had a few, but I think the funniest moment is when I fell off my bike leaving a parking lot . . . I was going too slow.
What is one future cycling goal you have? To ride my new e-bike. I know I’ll have fun!
What’s the best advice you have for a new rider? Just ride. The more you ride, the better you get and longer you can stay out. Ride with a buddy if you can. That’s always more fun.
